LABIAPLASTY | NYMPHOPLASTY

A labiaplasty or nymphoplasty, also called vaginal rejuvenation,  is an intimate surgery aims to  change the size and the shape of the labia minora and/or the labia majora. The most common surgical procedure is  labia minora hypertrophy, but it can be also, if present, to correct any asymmetry of the labia.

Another vaginal rejuvenation is  labia augmentation which consists to  increase the size of the labia majora by injecting fat (lipofilling) or hyaluronic acid. This makes the vulva more harmonious and sexual intercourse less painful in cases of dyspareunia. It is therefore a surgical procedure addressing both sexual functioning and aesthetic issues.

LABIAPLASTY | QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

  • How do you ensure good healing after a nymphoplasty?
Healing depends on rigorous personal hygiene. In other words, you must cleanse your genital area after every time you go to the toilet, gently drying with a hair dryer, disinfecting, and wearing protection pads in your knickers. You are also advised to wear loose-fitting clothes.
  • Is labiaplasty s a painful intervention?
No, this intervention is not very painful and any pain is relieved effectively by level I analgesics such as Paracetamol®.
  • When can I start having sex again?
Resuming sexual intercourse after a labiaplasty depends on how long healing takes, which will be at least 3-4 weeks. Dr Bron will give the go-ahead at your 1-month post-operative consultation.
