Hyaluronic acid injections

In aesthetic medicine, hyaluronic acid, a biocompatible dermal filler, is the product of choice to restore volume, smooth out skin surface, and freshen up the face. Hyaluronic acid significantly smooths out wrinkles and fine lines. It can also be a good treatment to remove or attenuate bags under the eyes (under-eye puffiness). An injection of hyaluronic acid can be done by itself, or in complement to another aesthetic treatment like peeling, laser or cosmetic surgery procedures such as blepharoplasty or a face lift. The body’s natural ability to produce hyaluronic acid (HA) declines with age. This contributes to a loss of volume and to an increase of wrinkles on the face and on the back of the hands.
Hyaluronic acid, which is naturally present in the body, can be reproduced in laboratory by genetic engineering. It moisturises the skin and stimulates fibroblasts – the cells producing collagen and elastin that are closely linked to youthful skin.

The face is resculpted; the cheekbones, cheeks and temples become fuller; wrinkles, nasolabial folds, bitterness folds and other wrinkles around the lips are smoothed out; hollow rings are corrected.
