blepharoplasty eyelid surgery switzerland

Blepharoplasty | Eyelid Surgery

Blepharoplasty is an aesthetic surgery of the eyelid. Its goal is to rejuvenate the area around the eyes weighed down by excess skin, muscle and fat pockets. It is a quick, very effective procedure that  freshens up and gives the face a rested appearance.

Blepharoplasty | FAQ’s

  • Is blepharoplasty a painful intervention?
Post-operative pain is relieved very effectively by level I analgesics (Paracetamol®). Applying ice bags protected by a cloth is very effective.
  • Is there is a risk to your eyes?
A blepharoplasty procedure involves only eyelids and not  eyeballs. The conjunctiva may become inflamed, although this is rare and is very easily treated.
  • Are the scars visible?
On the upper eyelid, the scar is concealed in the palpebral crease and is easily hidden by make-up, which you can wear again after 7 days. The scar from a resection of fat pockets and/or a lower-eyelid lift is almost invisible since it is on the conjunctiva and/or just below the eyelashes.
