Lip lift

A lip lift raises an excessively thin upper lip, giving a very natural result since lip height is increased without excessive projection. This intervention avoids a duck face, which is seen all too often after excessive filler (hyaluronic acid) injections.

ADDED EXTRA

Next Motion is an application that enables doctors to create, edit and share perfectly standardized, comparable dynamic ‘before/after’ videos in less than a minute.

The CSMCE has chosen this innovative technology, enabling completely transparent progress in patient care and fostering a trusting relationship with practitioners.

QUESTIONS/ANSWERS

  • Who is a lip lift intended for?
A lip lift is for patients whose lip is too thin and who want to increase its height and make it look fuller. This restores a feminine-looking mouth.
  • Why have a lip lift rather than hyaluronic acid injections?
This short intervention can redefine upper lips that are too thin for hyaluronic acid injections. A lot of hyaluronic acid would have to be injected to obtain a good height for an excessively thin lip. The result might be satisfactory front on, but would be too protruding from a sideways angle, giving an unsightly duck face that is avoided by a lip lift. Furthermore, a lip lift gives a definitive result, unlike injections, which have to be repeated several times.
  • Is this a painful intervention?
This intervention is not particularly painful. There may be some discomfort for a few days after the intervention, which is relieved effectively by level 1 analgesics (e.g. Paracetamol).
