QUESTIONS/ANSWERS

Is this a painful intervention?
This intervention is not very painful. Analgesics can be prescribed to relieve any pain you may experience.
Can you sit after the intervention?
You will have to be careful and avoid sitting for 3 weeks.
From which body parts is fat taken to be reinjected into the buttocks?
As a general rule, fat is taken from the stomach, hips, saddlebags and inner knees.

Before the intervention

2 consultations need to be arranged: one with the plastic surgeon and the other with the anaesthetist.
Stop smoking 1 month before the intervention.
Do not take aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs for 15 days before the intervention.
Pre-operative photographs are taken.
15-day reflection period between the 1st consultation and the intervention.
